On October 26,2016, SINOMEC held a symposium for the members of the 2016 Asia-Africa Seminaron Small Hydropower and Rural Community Sustainable Development. Officials andexperts from 11 countries including South Africa, Rwanda, Ghana, Nepal, Sudan,Zambia, Myanmar, Togo, etc. participated in the seminar. Mr. Li Yang, Senior Vice President of SINOMEC, and other leaders attended the symposium.
Mr. Li Yang, on behalf of SINOMEC, expressed warm welcome to the officials and leaders from Asian and African and the International Small Hydropower Center, and introducedthe basic structure and main achievements of each sector of SINOMEC. Mr. TanXiangqing, Deputy Chief Engineer of International Small Hydropower Center, highly appreciated SINOMEC’s achievements, and also gave a general introduction to the visiting officials and the International Small Hydropower Center.
The members of the Asia-Africa Seminar conducted active exchanges with SINOMEC people at the meeting. Both parties fully discussed new energy and sustainable energysolutions, especially rooftop solar energy, waste disposal, waste-to-energy,solar panel dust removal, classification of waste-to-energy, etc. They saidthat the visit was very fruitful, and SINOMEC, as a representative of China’shigh-quality enterprises, was worth learning in both internal control and advantageous industries, and hoped that SINOMEC would participate in and supporttheir project construction in the future.
This activity will not only help Asian and African countries learn from China’s experience, but also effectively promote friendly exchanges and cooperation between China andother regions. In the end, both parties expressed their wish to learn more and establish long-term partnerships.
