SINOMEC Signs the Contract for a 60MW Wind Power with the Republic of Karelia

On November 28, 2016, Mr. Li Yang, Senior Vice President of SINOMEC, on behalf of SINOMEC, and Mr. Alexander Khudilainen, Head of the Republic of Karelia, on behalf of the Governmentof the Republic of Karelia, signed the contract for construction of a 60MW windpower project in the Municipal Hall in the capital, Petrozavodsk. The projectis another masterpiece of SINOMEC’s cooperation with the local government after successfully participating in the investment and construction of small hydropower projects.

The Government of the Russian Federation is currently vigorously promoting the development and construction of green renewable energy projects, with wind power constructionin its infancy in Russia. In addition, the Republic of Karelia will celebrate its 100th birthday anniversary. During this special period, the government of the Republic of Karelia took the lead in cooperating with Chinese companies to support the promotion of green renewable energy development and construction,and received the approval of the Government of the Russian Federation. SINOMEC will take advantage of this opportunity, actively establish cooperation with powerful Russian enterprises on the basis of the platform, and with the support of the local governments, will, as always, abide by its commitments and complete the projects, with no effort spared to participate in, expand and promote the construction and development of the clean energy market in Russia.
