SINOMEC Work Conference 2018

In the auspicious moment of Start ofSpring solar term in the lunar Chinese calendar, SINOMEC convened the WorkConference 2018 themed with “New Start, New Adventure”. The conference wasattended by all SINOMEC staffs to review the performance in 2017 and look intothe future of 2018.

On the basis of full study anddiscussion of all business sectors, the conference summarized and reported thedevelopment strategy and visionary planning of respective business sector.

To secure the implementation of theseplanning and visions, all business units signed on the documents of objectiveresponsibilities of 2018.

To deepen the staffs understanding of present status and development of science and technology innovation of group, the conference included the special report of solar thermal engineering technology and hydrogen power system.

At the conference, President DuanYulin delivered a presidential report of 2017 on the overall operation of groupand summarized the performance in nine aspects namely reform priority, rise tochallenges, down-to-earth work style, business breakthrough, progress instability, all preparedness, taking advantage of strength, internalconsolidation and unity of all staffs. Confronting with the complicatedinterior and exterior conditions in 2018, the group will stand at a newhistorical starting point and sail on a new historical voyage. Focusing on theoverall business objectives, President Duan stressed on the requirements onseven aspects including production operation and performance sustainability. Hesaid, “The grass and wood not contending for spring will wither, and a man notcompeting in spring will accomplish nothing.” At the beginning of new adventureof group, all staffs should “seize the day, seize the hour”, carry forward thetrailblazing spirit and try the best to realize the energy dream of “a cleanerworld, a better life”.

After profound review of performance in 2017, the groupgranted awards to the model workers of hard work, diligence and dedication overthe past year.

Chairman Liu Bin delivered animportant keynote speech themed with “Devotion for Eternal Youth” that reviewedthe group development history, summarized the challenges of new adventure andproposed the development philosophy of “One body and two wings, all businessdevelopment side by side”. He pointed out that SINOMEC should also build itsown community of shared future. All the employees should keep the enthusiasm,honesty and morality with the spirit of self-reliance and entrepreneurship.

Theconference ended by a Q&A session of dialog with executive officers. All conference participants were talking honestlyand frankly. Different to the previous single-way reporting form, theconference atmosphere was equal, open, relaxing and interactive to facilitateemployees understanding the corporate development strategy and care of theirlife.
