Foreign Affairs Office of Shanghai Government Visits SINOMEC

Vice Director-general Liu Guangyong ofForeign Affairs Office of Shanghai Municipal People's Government recently led adelegation to visit our company and had a cordial talk with SINOMEC Senior VicePresident Li Yang.

The meeting wasattended by Europe & Africa Division Chief Li Chunping, Deputy Director LiFangxia and Principal Staff Member Shi Haijie. SVP Li Yang reported the signedand underway overseas projects over the past two years and the developmentorientation of company. After listening to the report, Vice Director-generalLiu Guangyong highly recognized the achievements of company and hoped thatSINOMEC make use of its quality overseas assets to support Shanghai governmentand enterprises going outside to the world and give full play to the socialresponsibility and positive effect of enterprise under the Central Governmentin Shanghai. Li Yang said that SINOMEC is willing to go outside together withthe Shanghai-based enterprises to jointly explore overseas market. ViceDirector-general Liu Guangyong was also very interested in the hydrogen fuelcell and solar thermal power generation projects of SINOMEC and got hisquestions answered by Li Yang.

With the progress ofnational initiative of Belt and Road in recent years and as response toSINOMACH's call for building a “New SINOMACH” outside China, SINOMEC speeds upintegration of advantageous resources and has signed and implemented quite anumber of large-scale energy engineering projects outside China withconsiderable political and economic benefits, which are highly recognized byall governments and media both at home and abroad. The visit of leaders ofShanghai Foreign Affairs Office is the recognition of our overseas business andencourages us marching forward in the adventure of implementing the Belt and RoadInitiative.
