Delegation Led by Chairman of SINOMEC Paid an Official Visit to Leaders of Zhengzhou Municipal Party Committee and Zhengzhou Municipal People’s Government

On July 10, a delegation led by Liu Bin, Chairman of Board of SINOMEC and Zhou Xiande, Vice President of Southwest Electric Power Design Institute, made an official visit to Xu Liyi, member of the Standing Committee of Henan Provincial Committee and Secretary of Zhengzhou Municipal Party Committee. Present at the meeting were Niu Weiguo, member of the Standing Committee and Secretary General of Zhengzhou Municipal Party Committee, Li Bing, Deputy Secretary General of Zhengzhou Municipal People’s Government and Director of Zhengzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Yang Dongfang, Director of Zhengzhou Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Li Xuesheng, Director of Zhengzhou City Administration Bureau, Wen Duan, Vice Chairman of SINOMEC and Shi Jianchang, Deputy General Manager of SINOMEC.

On the meeting, Liu Bin, Chairman of Board of SINOMEC concentrated on main points and introduced the development of different businesses of SINOMEC.

According to Chairman Liu, the company has developed to be a comprehensive energy and environment solution provider which offers full life cycle service of projects for clients. What’s more, on the basis of core technologies, the company fully integrates engineering services, production and management as well as investment into the three sectors of electric power, chemical industry and environment.

The company sticks to developing clean energy. It invests, constructs and manages multiple projects, such as combined heat and power, incremental distribution network and waste-to-power (generating electricity through waste incineration). In recent years, environmental protection has drawn much attention at national level and become the focus of city development. It’s also the key point for the development of Zhengzhou. Firmly grasping the opportunity offered by national strategy to boost the rise of central China and promote the ecological conservation and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin, Zhengzhou made preliminary blueprint, focusing on structural pollution to solve the dilemma of “thermal power pollution”, optimizing energy structure to develop clean energy and consistently promote ecological progress. In the blueprint, Zhengzhou city laid emphasis on “clean energy”, which was expanding to combined heat and power, waste-to-power, clean heating, hydrogen energy industry development and many other fields. These measures are close to people’s livelihood, which on one hand, satisfy people’s demands, and on the other hand, suit to local conditions and benefit the environment and ecology. Secretary Xu Liyi also pointed out that Zhengzhou welcomes excellent enterprises to settle in and make win-win cooperation.

On the meeting, participants from Zhengzhou Municipal Party Committee and Zhengzhou Municipal People’s Government, SINOMEC and Southwest Electric Power Design Institute also made intensive exchanges in related businesses.
