Leaders of Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong Province and Maoming City Investigated the Construction of Maoming Circular Economy Demonstration Center

On April 14, Tu Gaokun, Secretary of Leading Party Group and Director of Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong Province, Xu Zhihui, Secretary of Maoming Municipal Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of Maoming Municipal People's Congress, and some other leaders visited Maoming Circular Economy Demonstration Center and investigated the construction of the project.

Tu Gaokun listened to Luo Tao, General Manager of Environment Division of SINOMEC and SINOMEC Resources Technology Development (Maoming) Co., Ltd. (affiliated to SINOMEC), who gave a comprehensive and detailed report on the investment background, technological process, technical superiority, epidemic prevention and control and resumption of production of the project. He affirmed the current construction status of the project, and said that Maoming Circular Economy Demonstration Center project is one of the 31 large-scale comprehensive hazardous waste disposal centers in China under the Eleventh Five-Year Plan, as well as a key environmental protection project in Guangdong Province. The construction is of great significance. The Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong Province and Maoming City will continue to give strong support to the project, promote its completion so that it can give full play to the role of ecological protection as soon as possible.

Xu Zhihui pointed out that on the basis of the current achievements in construction, SINOMEC and its project companies should continue to strengthen the site-returning organization of the construction personnel, push forward the project construction at full speed, and complete the project construction tasks with both quality and quantity guaranteed, so as to lay a solid foundation for winning the tough battle of pollution prevention and control. He emphasized that it is necessary to effectively implement various epidemic prevention and control measures, focus on key population management, and ensure the safety and health of employees. The main responsibility for production safety shall be strictly implemented, and the measures for production safety shall be implemented in every link and on every employee to strictly prevent the occurrence of production safety accidents.

Luo Tao said that SINOMEC and its project companies will earnestly fulfill their responsibilities as central enterprises, comprehensively carry out the works of epidemic prevention and control, safety production and project construction, and at the same time, further optimize planning and design, highlight ecological and environmental protection concepts, implement environmental protection science education facilities in the process of construction and operation, and strive to build an education and training base with rich content and first-class quality.
