As a subsidiary wholly owned by China Sinogy Electric Investment Co., Ltd. (CSEIC), an energy enterprise directly affiliated to the Central Government of PRC, CSEIC Electric Investment (South Africa) Co., Ltd. is located in the city of Lydenburg, ThabaChweu, Ehlanzeni Province, South Africa. It is dedicated to the construction of a 132kV substation, a newly built 22/11kV substation, a expanded 22/11kV substation and a 22kV overhead line network. In line with the existing TOWNLANDSINDUSTRIAL substation and STERKSPRUIT substation, the project turns the original municipal lines into a circular grid that is powered by the new 132kVDUMA substation. It mainly supplies power to the city of Lydenburg, ThabaChweu as well as the new development zone.
