SINOMEC has actively participated in the biomass power industry and signed the contracts for Baoying Biomass Power Project and Meishan Waste Incineration Power Project.

On April 9, 2014, Mr. Ren Hongbin, Chairman of SINOMACH, and Mr. Wang Dongming, Secretary of the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee, jointly discussed the development strategy of national enterprises in Sichuan, and introduced the project through investment promotion by Meishan Municipal Government. SINOMEC constructed the project and has a 30-year franchise. In December 2016, the project was officially put into production, with a daily waste treatment capacity of 1,000 tons, the daily domestic garbage production of Meishan City, effectively improving the local status of waste disposal.
